Il Relitto

Il Relitto

One of the best spots for deep diving is next to the Mohawk Deer wreck.
It's a small broken wreck with the bow standing vertical.

The wreck lays at 40m and the bow at 22m.
A little bit further away we can do dives deeper than 40m.

Punta Della Torretta

This dive site is inside of San Fruttuoso bay.
Here we can dive to depths around 30m next to a wall with corals and plenty of fish.

Christ of the Abyss statue,
Portofino

Freediving Italy

Where: Christ of the Abyss statue off the
Italian Riviera, Portofino

Why: To pay tribute to a sport and the sea that makes it possible.
The waters are hallowed: The Christ of the Abyss statue honors Dario Gonzatti, the first Italian who, in 1947, lost his life scuba diving.
Since then, the figure has come to also represent all lives claimed by the sea.

“It's really impressive to be in front of it,” says Guillaume Nery, above. “You can see it from the surface and it's only at 10-15m max so it's something anyone can dive to.”

Targa Gonzatti

Freediving Italy

A sea mount with deep clear water full of fish around it.
The top is about 5m and the bottom is 45m. The dive site is teaming of life, schools of barracuda and tuna and everything in between, big groupers are also hiding around the submerged mount.
The cliff of Portofino is just a few meters away so prepare for a nice scenery when you come up for air as well.

Grotta Della Colombara

Freediving Italy

A rocky dive site with a small overhanging wall.
perfect for shallow diving but goes all the way to 30m a bit further out.

Wreck and deep excursions

Freediving Italy

We have deep dive sites very close to the shore and wrecks for the experienced freediver.
Easy access to over 100m depth.

These dive sessions are different from the normal training sessions as it's conducted on a separate boat and under different circumstances. Note that we can't guarantee a specific dive site as it depends on many factors.
